Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix had an early aptitude to play sports while studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic ability at the moment. Within a short time after her first attempt, Felix placed 2nd in the 200-meter race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently within the top three in her various events during the Olympics which took place at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
